  1. Salaams! Nice blog sis! I’ll try to keep up. :) So you’re a creative writer too? May Allah bless your pregnancy and make it easy for you! You’re almost there, insha’Allah! I love having babies. :)

  2. Yes, I am a creative writer…who is too scared to send out her work! :) I have the dream to do some writing for magazines and I have gone so far as to create the articles, print out the cover letters, and pop it all in an envelope – and then it never makes it to the mailbox. It is a shame. If I’m going to be a successful writer, I have GOT to get over the fear of rejection. But this blog has helped alot in getting me focused and keeping me motivated. So insha’allah I will be able to make it happen one day (“it” being the trip to the mailbox…) Thanks for visiting – I really enjoy your sites.

  3. Salaams. Been missing your posts. Hope all is well!

  4. I am a lost sheep and am not sure what I believe. I know there is something greater. I KNOW this but I have not found where I belong. How did your path lead to Islam and where were you before you took that path?

    • I grew up Catholic and I always believed in God, a higher power, a supreme being, all of that. When I started to question the Trinity, it led me to Islam, which believes that God is ONE and only ONE and is to be worshiped as ONE. Islam is just the belief that there is no god but God, and that Muhammed is the final messenger. I believe in the Qur’an – that this is the final book sent down to all believers. This is my journey in short (very short!)

What else can I share with you about my conversion? I’d like to share more, I just don’t know where to start.

    • The reason Islam really drew me in is because it was all about God. There is no inbetween or anything like that, it’s just God. So you get to believe in it just like you do, where you say “there is something greater” – that’s God. God is everywhere, he is everything between the heavens and the earth, and he is closer to us than our own jugular vein. He truly is an awesome God, something that we as humans cannot even comprehend. For all the blessings he gives us, he asks us only to worship him. And that’s what we do as muslims, we worship God.
