Asalaamu alaykum (peace and blessings be upon you) – my name is Loni. I am the married, Muslim mom of a 3-year-old toddler and a 4 month old baby. I reverted to Islam six years ago. The posts in this blog are centered around my life as an American Muslim and also lists some background info on Islam for those who are interested. With this blog I hope to help those who are looking for support, as I am here to find the same.

-Served as Facilitator for Intergroup Dialogues in the Intergroup Relations Program.
-Worked at treatment facility for children with emotional and behavioral problems.

Yes, I am a creative writer…who is too scared to send out her work! :) I have the dream to do some writing for magazines and I have gone so far as to create the articles, print out the cover letters, and pop it all in an envelope – and then it never makes it to the mailbox. It is a shame. If I’m going to be a successful writer, I have GOT to get over the fear of rejection. But this blog has helped alot in getting me focused and keeping me motivated. So insha’allah I will be able to make it happen one day (“it” being the trip to the mailbox…) Thanks for visiting – I really enjoy your sites.
